Previleged Nigerians have been told to show more commitment to providing infrastructural amenities in their area, if the nation plans to curb social vices among rural dwellers.

He said sincere commitment to development of rural areas by privileged Nigerians remains the only way to tackle deficit of infrastructural amenities starring the nation in the face.

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senatorial candidate for Osun East in the 2015 general election, said rather paying lip service to welfare of rural dwellers or approaching it halfheartedly for political gains, people in positions of authority should make provision of amenities topmost on the list of their priorities, in the interest of crime-free society and wellbeing of the general populace.

“Long before I joined active politics, I have been involved in provision of infrastructural amenities for my people. I believe when people in privileged positions show concern for the wellbeing of the ordinary Nigerians, social vices wil be reduced.

“Security agencies will have less work to do. Rather than fortifying  houses with burglar prove, people of means should give unconditionally and provide for basic infrastructural needs of others. Government cannot do it all. This award in an encouragement for me and also a challenge to do more. Rural dwellers are the forgotten ones but their welfare remain my priority”, Fadahunshi concluded
