COVID-19: See What Akeredolu’s Aides Did After Governor Tests Positive For Coronavirus

Aides to the Ondo State Governor, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu, have started going for COVID-19 test.

Akeredolu, who confirmed that he had been infected with the virus, asked all members of his cabinet to go for the test.

A source in the state Government Secretariat, said all the commissioners, special advisers and other political appointees deserted their offices on Wednesday.

He said, “Their absence today (Wednesday) indicated that they have gone for the test as directed by the governor.”

A member of the state House of Assembly, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the lawmakers did not go on isolation because they didn’t have contact with the governor.

The state Commissioner for Information, Mr Donald Ojogo, confirmed that the aides had started going for the test.

He said , “ Since morning ( on Wednesday) they have commenced the test as directed. Even the entire Governor’s Press Crew did same today.”
