The Osun State Magistrate Court sitting in Osogbo on Monday has sentenced Ibrahim Kolapo (20) to one year imprisonment for stealing in Osun.
According to the charge sheet, It was gathered that Ibrahim Kolapo at large (20) committed the offences on 23 August, 2020 at about 11:20am at Tinumola area Oroki Estate, Osogbo.
Ibrahim Kolapo at large was accused for stealing two milk colour aluminium flat sheets valued two hundred and forty thousand naira (#240,000:00k) proper of one Sola Bamidele.
The Police prosecutor ASP Fagboyinbo said the offence contrary to and punishable under section 390 (9)of the criminal Code Cap 34 Vol.II ,Laws of Osun State Nigeria 2002.
Ibrahim Kolapo was also accused for unlawfully jumped through the fence and enter dwelling house of Sola Bamidele with intent to commit felony.
Asp Fagboyinbo argued that the offence contrary to section 509 of the criminal Code Cap 34 Vol.II, Laws of Osun State Nigeria 2002.
Ibrahim Kolapo who was having no legal defendant pleaded guilty to the offences.
The presiding Magistrate, Isola Omisade thereby sentenced the accused person to six months imprisonment on count one and another six months on the second count.
