The Osun state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has advised the state government not to be political and unfair in the distribution of palliative to citizens of the state as part of efforts at cushioning the effect of the coronavirus lockdown.
The party in a statement signed by its Chairman, Hon Olasoji Adagunodo obtained by AMILOADED on Friday warned that palliative should not only be distributed to members of the ruling All Progressives Congress
The PDP asked the state Governor, Gboyega Oyetola to have a second check at the contents of his oath of office so as to be reminded of his responsibilities as the Governor of all the citizens of Osun state.
Adagunodo urged Oyetola not to forget a crucial portion of his oath of office and oath of allegiance which mandates him to be fair to all manners of men.
He warned that ignoring certain sections of the society because of their political beliefs or affiliation, would spell danger for the state.
Adagunodo also called on all critical stakeholders and all well meaning Osun leaders who are members of the Palliative Committee to make known their positions by protecting their names, ensuring that they justly supervise and see to the equitable distribution of all palliatives accruing to the state.
