As part of efforts to curtail the spread of the deadly coronavirus in Osun State, the Crownrise Development Initiative (CDI) has distributed over 10,000 nose masks and face shields to the residents of the state.
According to a statement made available to AMILOADED, the nose marks and the face shields were distributed to the residents on Thursday at Owode Community, Ede North Local Government Area of Osun State.
The CDI Executive Director, Mr Ajala Adetunji, said it was critical that the residents have access to reusable and washable masks at zero cost, noting that the masks are 100% cotton.
“Washing of hands, social distancing and wearing of a nose mask are three of the primary ways to stay safe,” Adetunji made the comment while speaking to the beneficiaries.
He further enjoined the residents to see vaccine as a way of protecting them against the noble coronavirus.
According to Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC), Osun State contributes about 1.56% of the total number of COVID-19 cases in Nigeria.
The cotton masks have shown to reduce the spread of droplets from the Mouth or Nose that may transmit the Virus.
