Calm Returns To Onibueja As Police Evacuate Lifeless Body Found Beside Road

Residents of Onibueja area of ido Osun have expressed relief after men of the Osun state Police Command removed the lifeless body of a man found in their neighborhood on Wednesday morning.

The Police also assured the residents that the death of the man would be investigated in order to ascertain circumstances surrounding it

When Amiloaded correspondent visited the scene where the corpse was discovered, residents were going about their normal businesses without fear.

It was gathered that the late man identified as Sunday Adejumo, had on Tuesday paid for planks to be delivered to him on Wednesday before he was found dead beside the sawmill where he paid.

Circumstances surrounding the death of the man were unclear yet, but sources said he was seen at the Onibueja sawmill in Ido Osun where he paid for planks.

An itel phone, a wrist watch and one ATM card were found on the late man.

One of the residents of the area said, “We saw this man here yesterday. He came to this sawmill to buy plank. He paid for the plank but he did not go with the planks. The plank seller was expecting the man to come and carry the plank today. We are surprise to see his dead body this morning.”

The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of the Zone 11 Police Headquarters comprising Osun, Oyo and Ondo states, AIG Agboola Osodi Glova said the circumstances surrounding his death would be investigated.
