BREAKING: Security Operatives Rescue Abducted UNIJOS Professor, Husband

A professor with the Department of Medical Microbiology, University of Jos (UNIJOS), Grace Ayanbimpe, and her husband, who were kidnapped on Monday have regained freedom.

AMILOADED had earlier reported that the professor was kidnapped in the early hours of Monday with her husband.

Unknown gunmen had stormed the couple’s residence behind Haske Quarters, Lamingo in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State and whisked them away.

It was, however, gathered on Tuesday that the victims were released unhurt.

The spokesman of the Plateau State Command, Ubah Ogaba, who confirmed their rescue on Tuesday morning said, “With the concerted efforts of the Police Tactical Team, Plateau State Command, Hunters and Vigilantes, the kidnapped victims Prof Grace Ayanbimpe and her husband Mr Isaac Ayanbimpe were released unhurt.”
