Lagos State has recorded 11 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in Nigeria to 373.
This is coming a few hours after the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control announced 19 new cases in the country.
Giving an additional update via its Twitter handle at 11pm, NCDC said, “Eleven new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Lagos State.
“As of 11:00 pm on the 14th of April, there are 373 confirmed cases of #COVID-19 reported in Nigeria. 99 have been discharged with 11 deaths.”
Of the 19 cases earlier announced, 14 were recorded in Lagos, two in the Federal Capital Territory, one each in Kano, Akwa Ibom, and Edo states.
The PUNCH reports that Lagos recorded a total of 25 cases on Tuesday, highest to be recorded by any state in one day in Nigeria.
NCDC added, “Currently, Lagos has 214 cases, FCT- 58, Osun- 20, Edo- 18, Oyo- 11, Ogun – nine, Bauchi – six, Kaduna – six, Akwa Ibom – six, Katsina – five, Delta – three, Enugu – two, Ekiti – two, Rivers – two, Kwara – four, Ondo – three, Benue – one, Niger – one, Anambra – one and Kano – three.”
