Traders at the popular Oja Tuntun Market in Ile Ife, Osun State are counting their losses as an midnight inferno raged across the busy commercial district.
According to eyewitnesses, the fire razed the market around 1am on Wednesday.
As at the time of filing this report, many traders are struggling to salvage their goods from the burning buildings while the cause of the fire incident is yet to be ascertained.
Our correspondent gathered that the men of the fire service have successfully pulled out the fire.
AMILOADED recalls that the market, which is one of the busiest and biggest in the ancient city of Yoruba race, Ile Ife had suffered a similar disaster early this year.
