BREAKING: Buhari Returns From UK

The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has returned to Abuja after a three-week trip to the United Kingdom.

AMILOADED had earlier reported how Buhari visited the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, in London on Thursday, touched down at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at about 18:45 pm on Friday.

The President had travelled to the UK on July 26, 2021, to attend the Global Partnership for Education organised Global Education Summit before undergoing a scheduled medical check-up, according to PUNCH.

Buhari returned from the UK amidst the strike embarked upon by resident doctors in Nigeria.

Resident doctors have been on strike since Monday, August 2, 2021, demanding payment of outstanding doctors’ salaries and hazard allowances minimum, enrolment of doctors in the integrated personal payroll information systems, amongst others, as minimum conditions to call off its indefinite strike.
