The Chairman of the PDP in Osun state, Hon Soji Adagunodo has urged members of the party to remain calm and rest assured that the party will overcome the challenges being thrown at it by some external forces.
Adagunodo gave this charge in a Press Release issued in Abuja this evening.
The Chairman who was in Abuja to attend the meeting of the National Executive Committee of the PDP said he remains committed to building an all inclusive party which will again defeat the APC in the Osun state governorship election holding next year.
Hon Adagunodo advised party members to remain focused on this very important task and embrace the reconciliation process which was initiated before the recent By-election in Osun West Senatorial District.
While noting the PDP NEC resolution which validated all congresses held in February 2016, the Osun PDP chairman said this is an indication that the National leadership of the party will not condone impunity and self -will which some persons are trying to promote in order to entrench their selfish political interests.
Adagunodo added that ” it is unfortunate that certain elements would wish to reverse the recent gains of Osun PDP. What I know for sure is that these gains are irreversible. We will not draw back from our process of genuine reconciliation of all members and aggressive recruitment of new members into our great party”
