Babajide Omoworare Congratulates New Councillors, Urges them To be Genuine Ambassadors Of Good Governance

The Senator representing Osun East, Senator Babajide Omoworare has called on the newly inaugurated council executives of Osun State to be ambassadors of good governance. He congratulated them for their victories at the polls, urging them to always remember their roles as government at the grassroots.

In a statement issued in Ile-Ife through his Media Assistant, Tunde Dairo, Omoworare said “I congratulate the newly elected councillors of our party who are today being inaugurated as the managers of government affairs at the grassroots level and urge them to be good ambassadors in their respective constituencies.

“The most sensitive of all government structures is the Local Government Council and must be active to attend to the yearnings and interests of the electorates who see it as a reflection of Nigeria and by extension the APC Government at both State and Federal level” The Senator said.

He equally called on the people of the state to give maximum cooperation to the new council parliament to run the affairs of the Local Government successfully and deliver dividends of democracy which can be maximised in peaceful atmosphere.

“I must lay emphasis on the importance of the people to political successes of the elected representatives, it is important to give maximum constructive support to the councillors to deliver on their pact with the people. It is also important to remind the people that the APC at all level of governance is dedicated to good governance with positive impact.” Omoworare said.

He thanked the electorate for reposing confidence in the APC government led by Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola in the State of Osun and President Muhamadu Buhari at the Federal level by voting the APC massively in the just concluded Local Government Elections. He assured them that APC is focused on the mandate and pact to rework Nigeria.
