The Honourable representing Ijesha South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Ajibola Famurewa has congratulated the abducted members of staff of the Osun State College of Technology, Esa Oke who have just regained their freedom from their abductors.
Famurewa, who yesterday described as barbaric, inhumane and totally unacceptable the attack on the academics, also commended the security agents for the relentless efforts put towards the rescue mission.
Famurewa, who is the senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress for Osun East, made this known while speaking with newsmen shortly after the news of their release broke on Friday in Ilesha.
He promised to work closely with the security agents and make available all the logistics to forestall future occurrence of such.
He said, “the release of the staff of the OSCOTECH came not only as a relief but also as a matter of joy as many of us have been so apprehensive and nervous about their abduction.
“Firstly, I want to congratulate the families of those who just reunited with their love ones and also to the victims. I pray such will never occur again.
“I want to also commend the security agents in our state for the work well done. It’s obvious that you’re at the top of the matter as you have just shown what you’re capable of doing.
He also urged the public to remain calm and not taking laws into their hands as normalcy will be returned to the community and perpetrators will be brought to book.
In the meantime, the lawmaker urged the Osun people to continue giving their supports to the government of Alh Gboyega Oyetola and to the All Progressives Congress as party.
