The Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has condoled with the family of Pa Gbadamosi Okunlola Lawal, who passed away last Tuesday, AMILOADED reports.
Aregbesola, during his condolence visit to the family in Ikirun, Osun State, described the death of the foremost politician as the inevitable end of every human being which all mortals must succumb to.
The immediate past governor of Osun State added that the death of Pa Lawal was a big blow to the Progressives political family as much as it was painful to the family.
Aregbesola noted that the grassroots touch of Pa Lawal in which his promise of electoral success remained valid would be greatly missed, saying the politician is irreplaceable.
The minister further stated that he was close to Pa Lawal for his electoral success prowess, adding that he was always wishing the foremost politician lives longer despite his advanced age.
Ogbeni Aregbesola added that any politician that denounced Pa Lawal on electoral matter would “have himself to blame for it”.
The minister, who remarked “Baba was a genuine progressive politician” in the condolence register, prayed for the repose of Pa Lawal’s soul and wished him Aljanat fridaous.
He, therefore, assured the family of his support for everything that the deceased stood for while alive just as he urged them to improve on the legacy he left behind.
Speaking on behalf of the family, one of the younger brothers of the deceased, O.A. Lawal, thanked Aregbesola for standing by Pa Lawal when he was alive and for his support to the family since his passing.
