The Commissioner for Innovation, Science and Technology in Osun state, Engr. Remi Omowaiye has argued that the state Governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola transformed the state despite criticisms by his political opponents.
Omowaiye made this known while speaking at the 5th anniversary of “Yoruba Dun,” an Organization promoting the culture of Yoruba, Osun state and Nigeria in general, held at Osogbo City Hall, Olounkoro on Sunday.
The Commissioner, who was the Guest Speaker at the programme rated the administration of Governor Aregbesola highly saying the people of the state would always remember the governor for good.
According to the Commissioner, the state presently, when compared to when Governor Aregbesola took up mantle of governance had changed tremendously owing to transforming projects and infrastructures carried out by his administration in the last seven years.
“The fact remains that Governor Rauf Aregbesola has greatly transformed Osun,” the commissioner insisted.
At the programme, prominent personalities who had contributed immensely to the development of the state and Nigeria at large were honoured with awards.
