The Federal University of Technology, Akure, Alumni Association, Osun State branch, has inaugurated the new set of executives who will be piloting the affairs of the association, AMILOADED reports.
The new Chairman of the association Com. Ajala Adetunji David, in his inaugural speech, stressed the need for the members to give back to their alma mater and everyone working collaboratively towards giving back to the FUTA community.
Also speaking, the outgoing chairman, com. Akintunde Fatoki, urged the members to cooperate with the new executives to lift the association high.
The member representing Obokun State Constituency, Pastor Wale Adelakun, in his remarks, tagged the success of his election to the house of assembly to God and FUTA Alumni Association.
He further narrated different sacrifices paid while schooling and how it has paid him as an alumnus.
The event which was held at Wumsy Hotel in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, had notable alumni members in attendance among who are Hon. Adewumi Adeyemi, a member representing Obokun State Constituency, Pastor Wale Adelakun, the secretary board of trustee FUTA Alumni Association worldwide, Dr Samuel Adebola, the State Manager of Smedan, among others.
