‘A Court of Anarchy’: Osun Based Journalist, Adetoyese Unveils Socio-Political Novel

An Osun State born journalist, Adewale Adetoyese on Wednesday unveiled a novel titled, A Court of Anarchy with a view to tackle the increasing cases of lawlessness in the Nigerian society which is also known as Jungle Justice.

While addressing newsmen in Osogbo, Osun State capital, Adetoyese who is the Editor of the prominent EyewitnessMedia; publisher of eyewitnessgist.com, explained that Nigeria and indeed Africa must be made to grow as sane societies.

“Both the rulers and we the ruled often run our respective societies lawlessly like animal farms. We find it pleasurable when we benefit from such corruption but we are quick to cry foul when the table turns.” Adetoyese said.

On what motivated him to put up the laudable socio-political book, Adetoyese revealed that he was inspired by an ugly scene of lawlessness which he saw in 2018 while returning home after his National Youth Service Corps.

“I decided to write this book to speak to fellow Nigerians and Africans about the gravity of what we do particularly when we take laws into our hands. I am sure that most of us act like that because we are not fully aware and I am sure that we’ll change for good through this book.” The author added.

The Ooni of Ife; Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, put up a superb foreword for the book while the review was done by Prof. Bola Avoseh, a Fullbright scholar from the University of South Dakota.
