2022: I’ll Win Osun Governorship Election, Says YPP Aspirant, DAB

The Young Progressive Party (YPP) governorship aspirant, Dr. Bayonle Ademola, popularly known as DAB, has expressed confidence that he would win the 2022 governorship election in Osun State, AMILOADED reports.

DAB stated this on Friday during an interview program, ‘The Truth’, on AMILOADED TV.

The governorship aspirant, who is the founder and chairman of the popular DAB Youth Foundation, one of the biggest communities of political conscious and progressive youths in Osun State, expressed confidence that the people of the state would vote for him to emerge as the governor of the state.

He added that his candidature would not be affected by his party, saying the people of Osun State would decide the next governor of the state.

He said, “We don’t want god-faterism and it’s going to be a collective effort.  The election is not about the party but about the people.

“Look at Anambra governorship election, all the big parties didn’t win any local government and YPP won a local government in Anambra State.

“I’m confident the people will vote for the right candidate that is why we need to elect somebody who can govern the state efficiently.

“We need to produce a society that everybody can benefit from, a platform everybody can grow easily from.

“For example, health care, we need to put good structures in place. A lot of things are collapsing right now. We need to build good structures. That’s why I said we need to have a progressive mindset.”

When asked about the economic situation in Osun State, the governorship aspirant said the state has no economy, adding that the state has been referred to as a civil servant state because of the lack of economy.

“We do not have economy in Osun State. If the state has an economy, there would be something to produce and trade but Osun does not have any. That’s why the excuse they make is that Osun is civil servant state,” Ademola said.
