The Opomulero Osun, a longstanding progressive political group within the Osun APC has called on National Leaders of the party to wade into the deepening political feud which it sees as having potentials to affect the party’s fortune in the forthcoming elections especially the Osun State 2022 Governorship election.

This and others recommendations were contained in a Communique issued at the end of expanded Opomulero Osun meeting held in Osogbo on Monday 27th of December, 2021.

Hon Adewale Afolabi and Mr Segun Omoworare, Chairman and Secretary of the group respectively and made available to the press, states that “Party leaders from across the local governments gathered at the meeting to deliberate on matters of urgency affecting our party (APC). Discussions were blunt, exhaustive and directed at working towards peace and harmony with progressive decisions reached.

“Opomulero acknowledges the various efforts of leaders towards guaranteeing peace and unity in the party APC and appealed for such to continue until total peace, harmony and tranquility is achieved.”

The document went further to urge all concerned to expedite action. The Opomulero through it’s Contact and Reconciliation Committee resolved to rapidly escalate the arbitration activities in view of the short time left between now and the next Gubernatorial election”

And thereby call on the Leadership of the Party at the State level, Osun State Government and the National Leadership of All Progressives Congress to put in place and enforce a complete ban on public statements and ongoing media war within members of the Osun APC.” The Communique stated.
