Gunshots rented the atmosphere in Osun State on Saturday as loyalists of former Governor of Osun State and current Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola gathered at Popular Ladsol pure water, Ogo Oluwa area, Osogbo for the state Congress of the All Progressive Congress (APC), AMILOADED reports.
It was gathered that some gunmen suspected to be political thugs attacked the venue of the congress, shooting sporadically to scare away Aregbesola loyalists.
Members of the Osun Progressive TOP (TOP), a caucus of the ruling All Progressivs Congress, had organised parallel Congress at the Ogo Oluwa area on Saturday.
