How One Of My Students Became My Principal – Retired Teacher

It is a joy of every teacher to see his students doing well but how many can stand working under a student he taught.

Alhaji Iliyasu Tauheed, a former teacher with Government College, Bida in Niger state, revealed how one of his student became his principal.

In an interview with Daily Trust, Tauheed narrated how he felt when his student became his principal.

He said, “I felt normal; he appreciated my contribution. The letter of commendation was written in appreciation of my service. He recommended my promotion to the post of senior manual instructor.”

He also said that “Leadership comes from Allah”.

However, Tauheed did not mention the name of the student.

Notable among his former students are General Ibrahim Babangida, former military president, Muhammadu Sani Sami, an Emir, Colonel Sani Bello, Garba Duba, Jerry Gana, Justice Idris Legbo Kutigi, Umaru Gbate, Jibrin Ndajiwo (late former Chief Judge, Niger State), Mohammed Yahaya Baro, and General Mohammed Inuwa Wushishi.
