The Osun State University (UNIOSUN) will finally be reopening for academic activities on Monday 30th January after few days of closure, following students demonstration caused by police brutality on two students violent protest by students which happened on Saturday 21st January.
The Acting Registrar of the University, Mr. G. A. A. Shittu, made the disclosure through a memo. He stated that the school management observed that relative peace has returned to the institution and decided that the university should be re-opened for normal academic activities on Monday, 30th January 2017.
He stated that the management believes that the students will reciprocate this manganimity of re-opening and fulfilling their own obligations by paying their tuition fees and remaining law abiding.
He also states that the Orientation programmes for fresh students will commence on Tuesday, 31st January till Friday, 3rd February, 2017.
