Be self-employed — Barr. Kayode Oduoye Charged Corps Members (See Photos)

It was a joyous mood at the Ongoing 2016 Batch B Stream II NYSC Orientation Camp in Ede when Hon. Dr. Kayode Oduoye (Superkay) and his amiable wife Chief Mrs. Mosun-Filani-Oduoye storm the Orientation Camp as they were received by the Management of the Camp, led by Camp Coordinator, Directors and Commandant as the Special Guest of Honour at the Closing Program of the NYSC Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneur Development Programme (SAED).

Dr Kayode Oduoye in his speech admonished Corps Members to think outside the box by using the skills learnt through the skill acquisition and entrepreneurship program to improve their lives.

He encouraged the corps members to look inward and work with their hands than waiting for white collar jobs, noting that no where in the world is civil servants rated as the richest in the country. The richest are not employed but employers.

He encouraged the young graduates to put in use the skills acquired to augment their allowances and expand to starting their businesses after the service year.

Chief (Mrs) Mosun Filani-Oduoye in her speech expressed her feelings over the products made by the Corps Members through the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneur Programme within a very such period of time. She said if they can continue to build on this after the orientation camp, the sky is their starting point.

 She further stressed that female Corps Members should learn how to combine marriage with career, that any woman who choose career ahead of her home might lose her home. Where she used herself being a nollywood actress as a case study.

The State Coordinator Miss Attah Emmanuel in her speech thank the great family for the privilege to have them in their midst and share with Corps Members from the poll of their knowledge.

While speaking with Amiloaded Correspondent, one of the Corps Members Vivian Udofia could not hide her feelings for what she has benefited through this SAED programme, she enjoined the government at various levels to make loans available to the young graduates to venture into such businesses. Another Corp Member Sulaiman Adamu thanked NYSC for putting up an educative programme like this, he promised to embark on post-training programme immediately after the orientation camp, so as to be self-employed before and after his service year.
