The members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ilesa West Local Government of Osun State have once again reaffirmed their support and loyalty to the administration of Governor Gboyega Oyetola, AMILOADED reports.
The APC members pledged their commitment at the bi-monthly general meeting of the party held at the party Secretariat in Isokun area of the ancient city of Ilesa on Monday.
Addressing the mammoth gathering of party members, a two term former member of the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon Folarin Fafowora, said, “The government of the Ilerioluwa proponent is making remarkable progress in all facets of human endeavours on a daily basis, the indices are there, the yardstick and parameters used are both visible projects and welfarist policies and services of the Insurance magnate turned politician.
“The process of upgrading college of Education to University of Science and Technology is on going already.
“I can report to you that the iconic Olaiya Flyover is at 72% as at Friday, 13th August, most of the roads we awarded three months ago are nearing completion and many are ready for commissioning.
“We are not resting on our oars, we are breaking new grounds and this government will stop at nothing until Osun becomes the cynosure of all eyes in Commerce and industrialization, health, Agriculture, Education, tourism, says Remi Omowaiye, Osun works Commissioner,” Fafowora said.
Others who spoke at the meeting include Barr. Femi Onigbogi, Kola Obeta who is a former PDP Chairman in the Ilesa West Local Government and Ademola Phillips, Chairman of Local Education Authority Board in the local government.
The speakers also all used the occasion to drum support for the reelection bid of Prince Gboyega Famodun as the State Party Chairman in the forthcoming state congress just as they described a splinter group, TOP, as “agents of confusion and destabilization within the party”.
Also present at the meeting are the local government party chairmen, youth and women leaders, all newly elected ward executives.
