A non-governmental organization, Heritage Life Support Initiative, has hosted a visual art competition to commemorate the 2021 Children’s Day Celebration, AMILOADED reports.
The event with the team, ‘My Perspective’, was held at CAC Grammar School, Araromi in Osogbo, the Osun State capital on Wednesday.
Four schools present at the event include Baptist Girls High School, CAC Grammar School Araromi, Christ Africa Grammar School, and St. Francis Grammar School, all in Osogbo.
The schools were, however, represented at the event by their teachers and students.
The competition, which was divided into two sections, had Olalekan Sherifdeen from CAC Grammar School Araromi as the winner while Sikiru Faruk from CAC Grammar School Gbonmi came second.
Ajibola Emmanuel also from CAC Grammar School Araromi emerged as second runner-up.
The first segment, which had the kids drawing a life object, lasted for an hour 30 minutes while the second segment of the virtual art competition, which was also the drawing of a life object, lasted for 30 minutes.
Speaking, the convener of the program, Mrs Bukola Ejiade, expressed delight at the competition, saying she was happy to celebrate the 2021 Children’s Day.
She further appreciated her husband, Engr Banjo Ejiade; and other supporters of the event among who are Engr Seun Fidudusola, Iyanu Plastics at Old garrage, Osogbo; Engr Ayodeji Ejiade, Engr Seye Ayoade, Mrs oguniyi, Mr & Mrs Segun Alonge, Mr& Mrs Adekanla, Fola Wears.
