One Shot Dead As Rival Cult Groups Engage In Supremacy Battle In Osun

One person has been shot dead on Friday in a clash between two rival cult groups in Osun state.

AMILOADED gathered that the two rival cult groups engaged themselves in supremacy gun battle at exactly 2:30pm at Asoje area of the state on Friday.

Our correspondent gathered that during the supremacy battle, a 35-year-old man identified as Babalola Lekan who lives at Oluode area of Osogbo was shot dead by yet to be identified rival cultist.

Confirming the incident, the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Opalola Yemisi said the corpse of the victim has been deposited at UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital Mortuary, Osogbo.

She added that the police are on the trail of the suspected cultists.
