As today marked the fourth remembrance of the passing away of the first civilian governor of Osun State,Senator Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke, a PDP stalwart in Osun West Senatorial District, Omooba Dotun Babayemi has described the late political icon as a colossus and a no cynic who related to people from all walks of life during his life time.
In a remembrance tribute, Omooba Babayemi noted that the legacies left behind by the man fondly called Serubawon in the political scene would be difficult to forget especially his belief that one should serve with integrity and honour.
He affirmed that there is no gainsaying the fact that the late political juggernaut led the way and light up the path for all of those who followed him.
According to him,his works were truly mesmerizing and he was an exemplary leader for future generations who wish to follow the world of politics.
While noting that Senator Adeleke’s humanitarian and philanthropic gestures is still a talk of the town up till today, Omooba Babayemi added that his indelible footprints on the sand of time would never be washed away in the area of giving back to the community in which he lived and beyond.
According to him,the late state helmsman remains a great reference for his love for the people of Osun State and his life was a life of remarkable achievements and service in diverse areas.
Omooba Babayemi prayed God to continue to grant Senator Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke eternal rest and give the immediate and political families the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
