Youths from Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore and Ejigbo Federal constituency today gathered to receive certificates of completion and grants worth on the second and last day of the two-day BS- E4 business and leadership bootcamp 2021 at the Adeleke Hall, Ede, Osun State.
Rep. Bamidele Salam, who hosted the bootcamp in his remark, reminisced his journey in politics since 2003, he realized the highest rate of files he came across were search for jobs which led to his reason to empower youths to create job opportunities for themselves rather than being dependable on the government.
“The purpose of the bootcamp is to improve the lives of the participants as there are lots of opportunities to access.
“I chose agricultural sector for this bootcamp because agriculture embodies a lot of value chain,” he said.
The lawmaker further advised the participants to be patient and stop the struggle for quick or easy money as patience is an important requirement for success.
He stated that by April or May 2021 there should be another bootcamp.
The participants were impacted with knowledge by the CEO Kimpact Consulting, Mr Bukola Idowu, who gave a lecture on ‘how to manage and grow your business towards profit’.
“The primary thing to do to grow your business is to have a changed mindset. A wrong foundation of business will lead to the failure of the business,” he acknowledged.
On her part, the CEO of Apple Vine Nigeria Limited, Mrs Ireti Odi, also graced the participants with in-depth analysis on business prospects for youths in Nigeria along agricultural where she spoke about value chain for rice.
