Your Activities Will Promote APC In Osun, Famodun, Fakokunde Commend Akosile

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Prince Gboyega Famodun, and the State Woman Leader of the party, Alhaja Kudirat Fakokunde, said the activities of the member of House of Representatives, Engr Olufemi Akosile, in the grassroots across would help promote the party in the state

Famodun and Fakokunde stated this on Wednesday while speaking to AMILOADED during the award presentation to the winners of Engr Olufemi Akosile Mathematics Competition for secondary school students across the two local government areas at Ikeji-Ile, Osun State.

Over 400 students from all the secondary schools in the federal constituency applied for the contest, while 27 best made it to the second round. All the 27 students were presented with cash gifts on Wednesday, while best 5 went home with cash prizes and scholarships.

Akosile also flagged off the distribution of 20,000 notebooks for students in the area, as part of his education advancement programme.

Famodun, who was represented by his media aide, Kola Olabisi said the programmes executed by Akosile at the grassroots would go a long way in making the party virile in Ijesha North Federal Constituency.

“What Akosile Progressive is doing here has shown that our is the only party that has interest of people at heart. Activities like this will go a long way in making our party more popular in these two local government. It shows we’re a party that values education,” he said.

In her comment, Alhaja Fokokunde described Akosile as a grassroot man, who has great interest in education. She said the notebooks distributed to students and the scholarship given to some will go a long way in easing financial burden of the parents.

“What he (Akosile) is doing shows he loves education and is willing to impact lives of the students. We can’t overemphasize the impact of education in this areas and we all know the economy of the country now, some parents cannot afford to buy those notebooks. For someone to give them for free, I believe they will appreciate it.

“Activities like this show that our party is still the best and we’re popular and concerned about the welfare of the people.”

Present at the event were members it the APC across the state, traditional rulers, youths, students and market women.
