The operatives of police in Osun have arrested a 40-year-old man, Akinola Lawrence for allegedly raping a speach-impaired girl.
AMILOADED gathered that the incident occurred at the Anglican area, Ataoja in Osogbo around 7pm last Thursday.
It was learnt that the mother identified as Remilekun sent the 16-year-old girl on an errand when Lawrence forcefully dragged and allegedly raped her behind a mosque along Anglican area at Ataoja.
Confirming the report, the spokesperson of the Osun Police Command, Yemisi Opalola disclosed that investigation has commenced and the suspect has been arrested.
“The State Criminal Investigation Department is investigating the matter after that Lawrence will be charged to court,” she said.
