The eldest daughter of Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Reverend Tola Oyediran, has died.
She died at age 79 on Friday.
She was billed to celebrate her 80th birthday on December 1st.
Until her death, she served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the African Newspapers of Nigeria, the publishers of Nigerian Tribune.
Prior to her death, the deceased was said to be hale and hearty.
