A group, in Osun State, the Reformers has honoured the Commissioner for Regional Integration and Special Duties, Olalekan Badmus, for his continued support of their activities, focused on promoting good governance at all levels.
They also presented a picture frame of the commissioner as a way of replicating his stance as the patron of group.
The Reformers, who paid him a visit in his office on Wednesday, expressed their desire to continue promoting the Oyetola-led administration in the good light it deserves.
The Coordinator of the group, who is a Computer Science graduate of Osun State University, gave Badmus a report of their activities that include distribution of face masks to market women and motorcyclists, giving out free premium motor spirit and also engaging in creating awareness about the scourge of rape.
While addressing members of the group, Badmus said he was proud of the group and could not have asked for more with what they have been able to achieve within the short period of their ascendancy in the society.
He told them they had carved a niche for themselves in the State, emphasising that there was need for them to see it as a challenge and not an opportunity for them to rest on their oars.
According to the Commissioner, “You are all doing well. I am very happy to be your patron in that regards but you have to do more on your reach. Work more on getting engagements on social media. You are doing great but the people needs to know you more and be willing to follow your activities. ”
The Deputy Chief of Staff, Prince Adeyanju Abdullah Binuyo, who was also present at the event, charged the lads to live up to expectations as the best form of governance was good governance at all levels. He said he appreciated the fact that the Reformers identified with that.
“I will only tell you a few thing, things you need to know while going about your activities of measuring the performance of Mr. Governor and subsequently promoting it to the members of the public. You are young and with a lot of energy that is very useful.
“You must also distinct yourself from others. And as rightly said the only that cannot be measured is that which is unmeasured,” he noted.
