New executive officers have been elected by the Nigerian Medical Association in Osun state.
After the peaceful election conducted on Saturday, August 8, 2020, Dr R. A. Akindele was returned elected as chairman of the association with 253 votes.
The election results made available to AMILOADED and signed by
Dr Adediran Luqman, the Electoral committee Secretary revealed that Akindele defeated two co-contestants – Dr K. O. Adebayo with 225 votes and Dr I. A. Adekunle who polled 91 for the chairmanship post.
Dr. Adetoye Adedapo polled 456 and was returned elected unopposed.
Dr. Ojo Abayomi K polled 376 and was returned elected. He defeated Dr. Olufunke Aduke who had 179 votes.
The post of the General Secretary was retained by Dr Folami E.O with 418 votes. Folami floored Dr Oroge Femi who polled 131.
Dr Alaba Aha Rufus was returned elected unopposed with 474 votes as the Deputy General Secretary.
Dr Arowolo Olaniyi with 476 returned elected unopposed as the Treasurer.
The social Secretary post was filled by Dr Azeez Waliyat with 486 votes. He was unopposed and returned elected.
The Financial Secretary of Osun NMA is Dr Ogungbemi A with 355 votes. He was returned Elected after defeating Dr Akinsola B.-who got 193 votes.
Returned elected as Publicity Secretary is Dr Salami O with 487 votes unopposed.
Dr Adetunji tajudeen had 488 votes. He was returned elected unopposed while Dr Ubom Bernard had 478 and was returned elected unopposed as the association’s Deputy Editor.
The committee congratulated them and wished them a successful tenure.
