Oyetola’s Wife Distributes Free Facemasks, Fuel To Okada, Keke Riders In Osun (Photos)

With a view to curtailing the spread of COVID-19 in Osun State, wife of the state Governor and the president, IleriOluwa Development Initiatives, Mrs Kafayat Oyetola has distributed free facemasks to commercial motorcyclists and tricyclists in the state.

Also, Mrs Oyetola gave out fuel to support the beneficiaries and enhance their transportation businesses.

Thousand of motorcycle and tricycle riders in Ede South,Ede North, Boripe LG, Osogbo and Olorunda, benefited from the gestures.

The beneficiaries, who are under the umbrella of motorcycle and tricycle riders association in the state, expressed readiness to follow all COVID-19 safety protocols laid down by National Centre for Disease Control and government in order to curb the spread of the deadly disease in the state.

The First Lady urged residents of the state at large to abide by measures put in place to fight the pandemic to a stand still.

While speaking during the distribution, the Coordinator of the programme, Mr Tijani Sikiru said the beneficiaries of the first lady’s gesture were selected accordingly through their various local government association known as OSCOMORON.

Mr Sikiru stressed that the free fuel was an additional benefit to support their businesses.

He added that the kind gesture of Mrs Oyetola will still be extended to other beneficiaries in other local governments in the state.

The President of the association, Comrade Ajenifunija Gbenga thanked Mrs Kafayat Oyetola for extending the humanitarian gesture to the association.

Gbenga assured Mrs Oyetola of the beneficiaries’ maximum support to Governor Adegboyega Oyetola led administration in ensuring that all safety protocols to prevent the spread of corona virus are followed to the letter.
