The suspended President of Students Union Government of Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, Ogun State, Comrade Adegboye Emmanuel Olatunji who posted on Facebook to threaten to commit suicide after he was arrested and charged to court for allegedly being a member of cult group has removed the suicide note post on Facebook.
Check by Amiloaded revealed that Olatunji removed the post on Facebook after the intervention of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Ogun Axis
The Chairman of NANS Ogun Axis, Comr. Bamigbose Tomiwa has said that the officials of NANS Ogun has taken step to ensure adequate care for Olatunji.
This was disclosed in a statement personally signed by him and made available to our correspondent on Sunday.
According to the statement, “I salute all Nigerian students both at home and in diaspora, all cadres, stakeholders, NANS Zone D, our NANS national leadership, NAPS and NAOSS leadership at local, state and national level activists, concerned Nigerians, the media.
“And most especially, the gallant proactive and responsive S.A. to the Ogun State Governor on Students’ Matters, Comr. Adeyemi A. Azeez for the unflinching support since this case has started up to this moment. Indeed, when we are all united to a good cause, even the gods bend their rules.
“It is with utmost joy that I bring to the general public that our brother and co-fighter in the emancipation of the Nigerian students has been found, though he was found in a deplorable state, but I authoritatively assure us all that he has since been given adequate care and attention.
“Contrary to his opinion, we all are in this together and as dogged fighters that we are, we don’t quit when we are tired or frustrated, we quit when we have won.
“We need your prayers for his emotional stability at the moment. We serve a living God and we believe God will not forsake him, neither will He allow His grace over him to cease. His hope will be rekindled, his dream will be revived and his life will get back on track.”
Recalls that Amiloaded had reported that Olatunji posted a suicide note on Facebook to cry out that no one should mourn him, if he eventually passes on as a result of his travails.
