ODAG Condems Recent Cult Attacks In Osogbo, Calls For More Security Of Lives

Osogbo Development Action Group ODAG, an Osogbo Youth group has decried the pandemic recent attacks in Osogbo by suspected cultists. The attack which led to the death of two young Nigerians is described as unfortunate and barbaric.

In a press statement signed by the group’s Coordinator,  Secretary and Publicity Secretary, Babatunde Waheed, Adelu Mutiu and Ibrahim Muslihudeen respectively. The group said it is disheartening to see youths who could resourcefully contribute to the development of the nation and economic sustainability becoming menace to societal peace and development.

The release also noted that the gory incident that led to the loss of lives of two young men who are suspected to be cultist is alien to Osogbo nothing that the town is known for its hospitality, serenity and business friendly.

However, the group uses the release to beseech handlers of security apparatus of the state and community leaders, religious leaders, and other stakeholders to rise up to the challenge while it enjoined the youths to be proactive and diligent in their dealings. The group advise Nigerians especially the youths to desist from cultism and any act that can tarnish their image or  their future to a miserable end.

Finally, ODAG uses the release to invites the public to their 3rd ANNUAL GET-TOGETHER which comes up Tuesday, 26/12/2017 at Osogbo City Hall, Olonkoro Igbona Osogbo, 10am prompt. The program aimed to “” PROFFERING EFFECTIVE CURATIVE MECHANISM TO THE EFFECTS OF THUGGERY AND CULTISM ON SECURITY AND EDUCATION IN OSOGBO LAND”.
