The abducted twins of Alhaji Taofeeq Akewugbagold, a former chairman of the Oyo State Pilgrims Welfare Board (Muslim wing) have been released.
Their release came exactly 8 days after their abduction at their parents’ Ojoo, Ibadan house.
Akewugbagold who confirmed this wrote on his Facebook account
“ALHAMDULILLAH! AT 5.30AM OF SUNDAY 3RD MAY, MY ABDUCTED TWIN KIDS ARE RELEASED TO ME BESIDE A BUSH AFTER 8DAYS IN AN UNKNOWN LAND. THANKS TO U ALL FOR FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND SUPPORT, JAZAKUMULLAHU KHAIRAN. ABERE MI BO SINU OKUN, OLOUN YO PADA FUN MI.“

Alhamdulillah robil alamin for HIS mercies over the children, the family of Akewugbagold and the entire Muslim ummah! While praying and hoping they are alright, I would advise that the children be tested for corona virus immediately. We don’t know the cvid-19 status of their abductors and we don’t want to take anything for granted. A o nii f’oju sukun won in shaa Allah bi qudratullah. Congratulations once again.
