The Nigerian Youth Chamber of Commerce( NYCC) has appointed Comrade Ganiyu Jamiu Adetunji, an alumnus of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife as her Osun State Coordinator.
This was contained in an appointment letter dated October 10, 2017, signed by the Chamber’s National Chairman and Director General, Comrade Peter Ayim and Isaac Nnamdi Udeh respectively.
The letter of appointment contained the approval of the Board of Trustees and Management of the Nigerian Youth Chamber of Commerce having thoroughly looked into and convinced of Comrade Ganiyu Jamiu Adetunji’s antecedents, leadership capability and exposure as a thorough bred youth leader and social entrepreneur of high repute.
The letter further reads that, “Comrade Ganiyu Jamiu is expected to freely serve as a think-thank for his office and Osun State government thereby contributing creative ideas to uplift the state and innovative solutions to the issues of dearth of small businesses, job creation, poverty reduction, innovation, skills, BDS, Youth and Women issues, etc in Osun State.
“You would recall that the Nigerian Youth Chamber of Commerce (NYCC) is a critical social capital for youth entrepreneurs in Nigeria launched in 2010 and registered as a non-governmental organization in January, 2014.
“NYCC is the flagship voice and umbrella body of youth entrepreneurship in Nigeria is endorsed by the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (SMEDAN) and the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) as the private sector voice and umbrella body of youth entrepreneurs; to advocate for and organize the informal youth-led microenterprise subsector and promote functional youth entrepreneurship.”
