Some students of Osun state University, Osogbo, Osun state have been rushed out after a fire extinguisher exploded in their class.
Students of Anatomy and Phisiology department were said to have been receiving lecture around 1:00pm in one of the classes at the Health Sciences College of the university before the fire extinguisher suddenly burst.
The students were said to have been injured after a loud noise emitted from the extinguisher.

the fire extinguisher went off as a result of pressure mounted by a 300-level Anatomy and Physiology student of the university.
His account “The 300-level Anatomy and Physiology students were having lectures this morning. During the lecture, a student asserted pressure on the fire extinguisher by sitting on it .
“Immediately he stood up from the extinguisher, the lid busted due to the pressure mounted on it releasing CO2 into the hall.”
As at the time of filing this report, there was pandemonium on the campus as students and workers of the institution were running helter skelter.
Reacting to the incident on behalf of the university, Professor Anthony Kola Olasanya, Director Inter campus and Public Affairs confirmed the incident.
He said no life was lost to the incident adding that those that sustained injuries are being attended to by team of medical personnel from the university medical service.
He denied that the media report of explosion saying it was fire extinguishers that released it content which some students inhaled.
