Osun Moves 3 Coronavirus Victims To Isolation Center, Says They’re Cote D’Ivore Returnees

The State Government of Osun has said it has moved the three new cases of coronavirus confirmed by the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) at the early hours of Tuesday to State Specialist Hospital, Asubiaro, Osogbo.

This was disclosed to our correspondent on Tuesday by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr. Ismail Omipidan.

He said, “the three new confirmed cases have been moved to our State Specialist Hospital for treatment.

In the meantime, the Governor of the state, Mr Gboyega Oyetola has confirmed that the three persons are among 131 returnees from Cote D’Ivore.

Oyetola disclosed this while speaking on TVC programme, Journalists Hangout this evening.

It could be recalled that the Osun government isolated 120 Cote d’Ivoire returnees to the Ejigbo community on Saturday.

Earlier, a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Prince Wole Oyebamiji had on Friday confirmed that 120 citizens of the state were stranded at the border of Ogun State and the government had contacted the Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun to grant them access to Osun State through the state route.
