A governorship aspirant in the state of Osun, Dr Abiodun Saka Layonu (SAN) has commended Governor Rauf Aregbesola of the state for being proactive in the efforts to curb clashes among Farmers and Fulani herdsmen living in the state.
The senior advocate of Nigeria also saluted the courage of Governor Aregbesola for speaking out against the establishment of colony in the state of Osun, adding that the Governor had already done the needful to prevent possible bloodshed in the state
It would be recalled that Governor Aregbesola had earlier said the incessant attacks by Fulani herdsmen could lead to another civil war.
Dr Layonu therefore enjoined other state Governors to learn from Aregbesola’s genuine initiative who he said had put up a serious committee under Hon Mudashiru Toogun to monitor the activities of Fulani herdsmen in Osun.
The gubernatorial aspirant said all indigenes of Osun are in support of the Governor against the of ranches colony in the state of Osun.
He said the peaceful coexistence being witnessed in the state is due to the responsiveness of the present State government.
