Comrade Seyi Bamidele, the Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State had asked all Local, Ward and Unit Youth leaders of the party to undertake rigorous sensitisation exercises in their jurisdiction for residents in preventive measures.
Bamidele, in a statement made available to AMILOADED on Thursday noted that the sensitisation became necessary for residents to be armed especially those in the rural areas to curtail the impact of the pandemic.
“In response to the ravaging incursion of corona virus in our country and the need to sensitize the populace on preventive measures, I have directed all Local, Ward and Unit Youth leaders of the party to undertake rigorous sensitisation exercises in their jurisdiction
“The aim of this exercise is to adequately arm the people, especially those resident in rural areas, of the deadly virus and ways of preventing its spread. The youth must pay special attention to markets, churches and village halls.
“Preventive methods like social distancing, regular hand washing and the use of hand sanitizers are helpful and hereby seriously encouraged.
“We trust that this situation will soon be resolved and normalcy returned,” the Youth leader said.
