The national body of Federation of Ikirun Student Union Government has charged students under the umbrella to abide by precautionary measures as Coronavirus ravages the globe.
According to a statement issued to AMILOADED on Thursday and signed:
Com. Giwa Teslim Tobatele the FIKSU National President and Secretary-General, Com. Lawal Afeez. O, public gatherings of the union had been suspended till further notice.
Members of the union were asked to stay safe and maintain measures laid down by the World Health Organisation and the federal Government.
“In pursuant to a renounced health quote that says thus “Prevention is better than Cure”, the National Executives under the leadership of Com. Giwa Teslim Tobatele enjoin each and every one to kindly comply with the preventive measures and directives laid down by the Federal Government and WHO as the globe currently combat the trending Coronavirus pandemic
“Furthermore, we are suspending public gatherings of the Union henceforth, till further notice. This is in line with the Executive order by the State and Federal government.
“We pray no evil or incurable ailment shall be fall anyone of us and hope to everyone in sound and safe health,” the statement reads.
