A community leader and coordinator of Iwoland Development Coalition, Mr Adisa Kabiru Kulukulu has urged the people of his hometown of Iwo in Osun state to work together and ensure that the town produces its indigene to succeed incumbent Governor Rauf Aregbesola.
Kulukulu made this known in a statement he issued on Tuesday. He said it was only when the people of Iwo unite and work together that their dream of producing the next Osun governor would be actualised.
The community leader denied speculation that he already has a an aspirant he is supporting for the gubernatorial race saying only a competent candidate would emerge after the primaries of political parties.
He said: “there has been some insinuation that I have chosen an aspirant to support in the next election. But as a community leader and servant of the people, I cannot make this call until after the primaries in various parties. At this point in time, I can only urge us all to unite and join the political process and ensure the emergence of iwoland indigenes as candidates of all political parties.”
Kulukulu further stated that he was dedicated to ensuring the emergence of competent persons in Iwo as gubernatorial candidates.
“We offer our support to all our brothers and sisters who are interested in the number one seat of Osun. With the support of our people and friends in other regions of the state, “Iwolokan” will be a reality,” he assured.
