The YALI Network, Osun State Hub has inaugurated new executive members for a year tenure.
A release issued by Tobi Olanipekun, Public Relations Officer of the organisation on Monday disclosed that the executive emerged after a successful election conducted by an Independent Electoral Committee led by Mr. Ojuse Omotayo.
The statement indicated that winners were declared before they were inaugurated on 15th December, 2019.
“The newly inaugurated executive team led by the Coordinator, ‘Tomisin Olatoye, will take over the affairs of the state network from Mr. Readwon Agboluaje, who is now the former coordinator of the last administration and network.
“The rest of the new executive members are: Opeyemi Tijani (Deputy Coordinator), Abayomi Popoola (General Secretary), Osato El-Osemwingie (Programmes Officer) and Tobi Olanipekun (Public Relations Officer),” the statement reads.
Speaking at the inauguration and handing over ceremony, the former coordinator said, “I’m delighted to be given the leadership position to lead YALI Network Osun from September 2018 to September 2019. This leadership role gave me more reasons to learn, unlearn and relearn. My appreciation goes to all my team members and network members for their support all through. We wouldn’t have achieved much with disunity. I wish the new executives well as they steer the ship of the state network from where we stopped.”

On behalf of the new executives, we see this as a call to higher service. That you have trusted us with the responsibility to provide leadership for the next phase of the network is not a thing to take with levity hands.” said Olatoye, the new coordinator. “The Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) is a signature effort to invest in the next generation of African leaders who will contribute to the development of the continent starting from their communities. This is the vision upon which this initiative was started and all the activities of the YALI Network Osun will be geared towards achieving this. It is a privilege to be part of this movement of young talented leaders.”
Young African Leaders Initiative is an initiative meant to invest and build viable leaders instrumental to developing Africa at large. It is one of the US exchange programs created by the former President of United States of America, Barack Obama. YALI Network Osun is one of the Nigeria state hubs.
