Interior Minister, Aregbesola Commissions Immigration Office Complex (Photos)

The minister of interior,Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has commissioned the Nigeria Immigration service new Akwa ibom state command complex.

The event which took place on the 7th of November 2019 had in attendance the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration service, Mohammed Babandede, who was represented by the DCG Finance, Mr. Graham.

The minister expressed the support of his ministry to the service and other agencies under his watch, he charge the officers and men of the command to reciprocate the kind gesture of conducive working environment.

He also urged the officers to shun corruption and indolence for them to make effective use of the command office complex.


In his welcome remarks, the Comptroller of Akwa Ibom state command, Mr Livingstone Amadi, paid glowing to tribute to the Akwa Ibom state government and the people of Atan offot community for her support, also for providing the land in which the new edifice was built on.

He assured the State government of the continued commitment of the NIS to rid the state of irregular immigrants as well as carry out its core mandate in line with its statutory obligations.

He also thanked the honorable minister and the CGIS for making the project a reality.

The commissioning was witnessed by the notable personalities including the Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Senior Officers of the Nigerian Army, NCS, FRSC, NSCDC, NFS etc.
