Management of Ladoke Akintola University Teaching Hospital, Osogbo on Thursday award some members of staff of the Hospital for their outstanding performances in the delivery and discharge of duties in their various Departments.
The Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Professor Olawale Akeem Lasisi said the award was organized to appreciate the selected staff for their selfless and commitment to services in the last four years.
He added that the awardees are those who have distinguished themselves in their various departments, stressing that the selection was base on critical assessment and were painstakingly adjudged, having contributed their own quota to the development and efficient delivery of services in the hospital.
At the event, Staff of the Hospital were admonished to add values to the hospital services, as their duties will be assessed by both the management and the public.
According to him, “The hospital’s staff should realize that many eyes are watching them from the sidelines and that those who perform their duties efficiently without influence will from time to time be recognized by the management of the hospital”.
While presenting the awards, the hospital boss urged other members of staff of the Hospital to emulate the characters of the awardees to enable them qualify for the subsequent ones.
While appreciating the management on behalf of other awardees, Head, IHVN Department Prof. Victor Mabayoje expressed optimism about the programme, stating that the Commendation Award is a positive development that will impact on the services delivery of the hospital.
He urged all the beneficiaries to work harder by serving as role models bringing to play more positive ideas into the hospital system.
