Denies Withdrawal Rumour

The leading contender for the number one citizen of Osun State, Hon. Abdulgafar Akintayo Amere, has denied the rumour of his withdrawal from governorship race, saying he is in the race to win.

He stated there is no iota truth in the rumour, describing it as  the handiwork of his contenders who are aware of his chances to clinch the party ticket, assuring his supporters of his victory in the race.

He noted the current political atmosphere is favourable to his aspiration, beseeching his supporters to discredit any purported rumour of stepping down for his one of his counterparts.

He said the rumour was manufactured by contestants with slim chance. He condemned the rumour mongers for their unfaithfulness, saying no one can destroy what God has constructed.

Amere, in a stated signed by his media team, Stated “The rumour is unfunded, unverified and unestablished, deliberately manufactured by those in the race just to make name. Those rumour mongers are elements of destruction who  have no political value than to blackmail an unquestionable integrity”

“I’m still in the race, very hopeful and my chances are getting wider everyday. I’m in the race to win. Winner never quit, quitter, never win. The rumour is a testimony of my acceptability, sensing the immense defeat the rumour peddlers will suffer at the primary of the party next month”

The honourable tasked other aspirants to eschew political orchestration for the survival of our democratic tenets.

Hon. Amere is a leading contestant of the All Progressive Congress (APC)  in the September governorship election in Osun State and the current honourable representing Iwo Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives, National Assembly, Abuja.
