The Osun House of Assembly has urged Muslim faithfuls to continue to pray for the peace of the state and the nation in general as they celebrate Eid-il-fitri.
The assembly in a statement by its House Committee on Information and Strategy, Mr Olatunbosun Oyintiloye on Friday in Osogbo, congratulated the Muslims and urged them to share with the less privileged in the course of their celebration.
It said that the holy month of Ramadan is a period of core purity, sacrifice and giving, adding that Muslim faithfuls should uphold these values after the holy month to make life better for all.
The statement also urged the people of the state to continue to pray for a peaceful conduct of the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state.
It also urged all eligible voters to obtain their permanent voter cards to enable them to perform their civic duty during the election.
it also urged the electorate not to compromise their integrity with material in electing leaders that would make life meaningful for them.
