Osun Govt Distributes Medical Materials To Communities Health Center
The state government of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola has distributed medical relief materials to communities health center in the state to improve the betterment of the People.
Over 60 communities in Osun state benefited from the Osun state government efforts to improve healthcare access as maternaties and medical items were handed for the use of the people in the areas.
The intervention which underscored Governor Rauf Aregbesola-led government commitments to healthy living for citizens, was carried out under the UNICEF Replication Programme II.
At the handling of the facilities to the communities, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Rural and Community Affairs, said the intervention was a fulfilment of the government promise to ensure good health for citizens.
He said the facility would help bring healthcare closer to the people, encouraging people in the communities to make best use of the building and medical supplies provided by the government.
He handed the facilities to the Chairman of Osun Community Development Council (O’CDC) Alh. Issa, who commended Aregbesola for bringing healthcare closer to the people.
Apart from maternity building received by the O’CDC delegation, medical items and supplies such stretchers, mattresses, pillows, baby boxes, were among items donated by the state government.
In a related development, the state government also facilitated the construction and furnishing of traditional palaces in Osun state– an effort geared towards improving their standards.
Towns such as Agberire in Iwoland, Idoko in Ijesaland benefited from the construction of modern palaces, while Idiya in Ola-Oluwa local government saw its hall furnished with chairs, tables and other materials among many other benefiting communities.
